About the Role
We’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who is just as comfortable working with React Native features as with the Node.js code in the BFF layer that powers them. You’ll own features end to end: from the mobile UI, through the RPC-oriented BFF layer, to the integration points with external services. This isn’t a frontend-only or backend-only role. We expect you to move fluidly across the stack as needed.
Responsibilities
– Build and maintain functionality in our React Native SDK, including brownfield integration into partners’ host apps.
– Design and implement supporting BFF endpoints in Node.js and TypeScript, exposed over RPC.
– Debug the full request path: mobile client, network, BFF, and external services.
– Review other engineers’ code and provide substantive feedback.
– Take part in production incident response, including analyzing logs and tracing issues back to their root cause.
– Make pragmatic technical decisions in the face of changing requirements and strict regulatory constraints.
Requirements
– Strong experience with React Native (both Expo and bare workflows, including native module integration).
– Strong TypeScript skills on both the client and server sides.
– Experience with Node.js BFFs (any modern framework: NestJS, Fastify, Hono, Express).
– Hands-on knowledge of designing RPC-style APIs.
– Solid SQL skills, including writing queries against materialized views. This role involves retrieving data both through RPC endpoints and directly via SQL.
– Comfortable working in Git-based workflows with code review as a core practice.
– Effective use of AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) in day-to-day work, with the judgment to know when to trust the output and when to verify it.
– English – Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher.
Nice to Have
– Experience with React Native brownfield integration (embedding RN code into an existing native host app).
– Experience in fintech, banking, or a regulated environment.
– Familiarity with OTA update tools (Stallion, Hot Updater, CodePush, Expo Updates).
– Experience with Go.
