Mobile Automation QA Engineer (Android / iOS)

Itexus is looking for a Middle+/Senior Mobile Automation QA Engineer (Android and/or iOS) to join our team!

Itexus is a team of experienced professionals in software development, quality assurance, and service support. Since 2013, we have delivered 300+ software solutions for startups and large international companies across FinTech, Healthcare, EdTech, eCommerce, and other domains.

We are expanding our QA team and looking for a Mobile Automation QA Engineer with strong experience in Android and/or iOS test automation to work on challenging, high-quality products for international clients. All project communication is conducted in English.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for Android and/or iOS applications
• Build and support stable, reliable mobile automation as part of CI/CD pipelines
• Collaborate closely with developers and product teams to improve testability and overall product quality
• Analyze requirements and define effective test scenarios for mobile applications
• Identify, investigate, and help troubleshoot defects in mobile environments
• Participate in manual testing activities when required to ensure high product quality

Requirements:

• 3–5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on mobile test automation
• Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks: Espresso + Kotlin (Android) and/or XCUITest + Swift (iOS)
• Hands-on experience with Appium for cross-platform mobile automation
• Solid programming skills in Kotlin (Android) and/or Swift (iOS)
• Strong understanding of mobile application architectures and mobile testing challenges
• Experience testing mobile APIs using Postman or similar tools
• Experience integrating automated mobile tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and good communication skills
• English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher — all project communication is in English

Nice to have:

• Experience with manual mobile testing (exploratory, regression testing)
• Experience with performance or stability testing of mobile applications
• Experience with Maestro or other modern mobile automation tools
• Familiarity with mobile device farms and cloud testing platforms
• Basic experience with Docker or cloud environments
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (Jira, Xray, Zephyr)
• ISTQB certification or domain expertise (e.g. FinTech, Telecom, Energy)
• Experience mentoring junior QA engineers or participating in code reviews
