We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and evolution of modern data platforms and data warehouse solutions in cloud environments.
In this role, you will work on building and optimizing data pipelines, integrating multiple data sources, and designing scalable architectures for data storage and processing used by analytics and AI systems.
About projects:
You will have the opportunity to work on several data-intensive projects across different domains. One of them focuses on building a Data-as-a-Service platform for a global reinsurance company, aimed at data evaluation and validation for AI use cases, ensuring high-quality datasets for model training and analytics.
Another project is within the life sciences domain, supporting the migration of enterprise data platforms from legacy systems to modern cloud-based architecture (Azure + Databricks), including redesigning data models, pipelines, and documentation processes.

Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines.
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources.
- Design and evolve data platform architecture and data storage solutions.
- Optimize data processing performance and reliability.
- Work with large-scale datasets (Big Data).
- Support analytics and machine learning teams with reliable data infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain data models for analytical systems.
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data processing.
- Excellent SQL skills.
- Experience with Spark / PySpark.
- Experience building ETL / ELT pipelines.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Understanding of Data Lake and Data Warehouse architectures.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD practices.
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and ability to work with complex data systems.
- English level B2+ (confident communication with technical and non-technical teams).
Nice to have:
- Experience with Azure Data Factory.
- Hands-on work with Snowflake.
- Knowledge of dbt.
- Experience with Airflow.
- Understanding of Data Vault modeling.
- Ability to build streaming pipelines.
- Experience with Unity Catalog.
- Experience with Power BI.
- German language (B1–B2).
