DevOps Engineer (AWS)

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team and work on modern cloud-native platforms in the AWS ecosystem. The role focuses on building scalable infrastructure, supporting microservices architecture, and improving delivery and operational processes.

About the projects

You will work on several cloud-native, integration-heavy projects for large European companies across industries such as finance, energy, industrial, and SaaS.

One of the key directions is to build and evolve platforms on top of the AWS ecosystem, focusing on scalable infrastructure, microservices, and reliable system integration.

Another stream of projects focuses on end-to-end platform development, including microservices, data processing, streaming, and payments. You will contribute to designing robust infrastructure, integrating multiple services, and enabling stable, scalable solutions for business-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Containerize applications and microservices across different stacks (JS, .NET, Java, PHP, Python)
• Design and maintain Helm charts
• Build and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket Pipelines)
• Maintain and support cloud ecosystem components (microservices, streaming, data processing, payments, etc.)
• Participate in architecture discussions and design decisions
• Collaborate with Team Leads and cross-functional teams
• Extend and improve monitoring and alerting systems
• Migrate applications from on-prem / EC2 to Kubernetes (EKS)
• Handle incidents and troubleshoot production issues

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related roles
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud
• Solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerization (Docker)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt)
• Experience building and supporting production-ready infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of AWS services (VPC, EC2, EKS, ECS, ELB, Route53, VPN, EBS, RDS, ElastiCache, MSK, S3, etc.)
• Experience with Helm
• Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
• Understanding of modern cloud-native architectures, microservices, and service communication patterns
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
• Good communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders

Nice to Have

• Experience with ArgoCD
• Experience with service mesh solutions (Linkerd, Istio)
• Experience with Apache Kafka (AWS MSK)
• Experience with Apache Airflow
• Experience working with multiple tech stacks (JS, .NET, Java, PHP, Python)
• Experience with Cloudflare
• Exposure to other cloud providers (GCP, Alibaba Cloud)
