About the role
Itexus is looking for a QA Engineer who is comfortable working across both manual and automation testing. In this role, you will be involved in the full QA lifecycle, from requirements analysis to test strategy and client communication.

Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements and participate in refinement sessions
- Perform manual testing: functional, regression, exploratory, UI and integration testing (Web and Mobile)
- Test APIs (REST / SOAP) using tools like Postman
- Work with databases for data validation
- Perform basic non-functional testing such as performance and security checks
- Create and maintain test documentation: test cases, checklists, test plans and reports
- Develop and maintain automated tests (UI and API) using Playwright, Selenium or Cypress
- Support test integration into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Contribute to test strategy and test design
- Perform root cause analysis of defects
- Participate in demos and project meetings, consult clients on QA approaches and tools
- Collaborate with an international team
- Mentor junior QA engineers
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in software testing (Web and Mobile)
- Hands-on experience with test automation using Playwright, Selenium or Cypress
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript
- Strong understanding of the software testing lifecycle
- Solid knowledge of test design techniques
- Experience working with business and technical requirements
- Experience with both functional and non-functional testing
- Advanced SQL skills (joins, subqueries, complex queries)
- Understanding of client-server architecture and HTTP
- Experience with Android Studio and Xcode
- Experience with DevTools, Charles or Fiddler
- Good knowledge of Git
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Experience in client communication
- Ability to present QA strategy and decisions
- English level B2–C1 (spoken and written)
- Experience in fintech is a plus
Nice to have
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter)
- Knowledge of security testing
- Experience with Kafka or Kubernetes
- Experience in domains such as Energy, Insurance, Climate Tech, IoT or Telematics
- Experience with Data QA tools (Snowflake, Databricks, dbt, Soda Core)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Experience with Salesforce or SAP testing
- Experience leading or coordinating a small team
- Experience in pre-sales, estimation or discovery phases
- Experience in crypto, KYC/AML, retail, OMS or logistics
