Senior Backend Engineer (Kotlin/Java)

Itexus is looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer (Kotlin/Java). You’ll work on a high-load internal platform, own system architecture, and ship features end-to-end.

Requirements:
– 5+ years of professional experience in modern software development, ideally within a SaaS environment;
– Strong proficiency in our tech stack: Kotlin, PostgreSQL, MongoDB (or similar technologies);
– Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern development workflows;
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with high attention to quality and detail;
– A collaborative mindset, eagerness to share knowledge, and a drive for continuous improvement;
– English B2+;
– Frameworks & Libraries: Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JPA (Hibernate), RESTful API;
– Architectural Patterns: Layered Architecture, MVC, Dependency Injection (DI) / Inversion of Control (IoC), Repository Pattern, DTO Pattern, Transaction Script or Domain Model.

Responsibility:
– Design, develop, and continuously enhance our internal leasing platform;
– Analyze and resolve technical issues while driving the ongoing improvement of existing modules;
– Actively participate in code reviews to ensure high standards of code quality throughout the release process;
– Translate technical requirements into scalable, high-performance, and maintainable backend applications;
– Create and maintain clear documentation, technical concepts, and architectural guidelines;
– Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA engineers, DevOps, and cross-functional domain experts to deliver robust solutions.

Nice to have:
– Experience with public cloud services / AWS.
